has 22 years of experience in the resale industry, and he opened Creme de la Creme resale shop, a black owned business, on March 15th 2019.  He has managed 4 not for profit resale shops and spent 20 years learning the business before venturing out and opening his own. This dream of owning his own business came to fruition in March 2019, after being laid off from his previous job of 16 years at ORT Resale in Evanston. (October 2018) Six months after being laid off, he decided to take his financial future into his own hands and tapped into his pension/savings, and opened Creme de la Creme. This decision to tap into retirement funds instead of a traditional loan, was made because he didn't want to start the business off in drastic debt. On March 15th 2019, the store opened with a line extending around the corner, and without one cent of debt! With Covid shutting down the country a year later, the decision to use retirement money, instead of a loan was a great decision! All of his former clients came to support him that opening day, and made the dream a reality. He brings a joyous and festive energy to his store and it has definitely taken on his personality. He has survived the Covid pandemic and hopes to thrive at the Devon Avenue location. He is happily married to Elena Rodgers and is a 1996 graduate of Western Illinois University,  B.A. in English. He loves to travel, cook, and interact with other adults.
